Lighting Installation in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Good lighting changes how a home feels — and bad lighting is usually a wiring problem wearing a disguise. We install and upgrade residential lighting across Fort Lauderdale: recessed cans, landscape lighting, under-cabinet lighting, dimmers that actually work with LEDs, and fixture swaps done right.

Every lighting job gets the electrical fundamentals first: proper boxes, correct wire, and dimmers matched to the bulbs. No flicker, no buzz, no mystery.

Recessed and Accent Lighting

Recessed lighting opens up Florida's low-ceilinged ranch homes and lights kitchens the way they deserve. We lay out the can placement for even coverage — not the dotted grid that leaves dark corners — cut in properly supported housings, and wire them to code with dimmers that match your bulbs.

Under-cabinet lighting in the kitchen and accent lighting for art or architecture finish the job. Small loads, big difference.

Landscape and Outdoor Lighting

South Florida evenings are made for the outdoors, and landscape lighting makes a yard usable after dark. We install low-voltage landscape systems, path lighting, and architectural uplighting — with weather-rated equipment that stands up to salt air near the beach and afternoon downpours everywhere.

Outdoor circuits get GFCI protection and proper burial or conduit. No extension-cord lighting jobs.

Fixing Flicker and Buzz

If your LEDs flicker or buzz on the dimmer, the dimmer is almost certainly the problem — older dimmers were built for incandescent bulbs and chop power in ways LEDs can't handle. We replace the dimmer with one rated for your bulbs, which fixes it in one visit.

Whole-room or whole-house flicker is a different animal — see our flickering lights guide — and deserves a proper diagnosis.

Common questions

Can you add recessed lights where none exist?

Usually yes. Attic access makes it straightforward; finished ceilings take more work. We evaluate and quote in writing before cutting anything.

Will landscape lighting run up my electric bill?

Barely. Modern low-voltage LED landscape lighting draws very little power — the whole yard often uses less than one old floodlight did.

My dimmer buzzes. Is it dangerous?

Usually just annoying — it's the dimmer and bulb mismatch. But if the switch plate is hot, call us now instead of living with it.
