AC Installation in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Sized by calculation, not by guess. Ductwork designed to match.

A new air conditioner where there wasn't one — an addition, a converted garage, a Florida room, new construction — is a design job, not just an equipment swap. The system has to be sized to the space, the ducts have to deliver the air, and the electrical has to support the load.

We handle all three in-house. Our AC techs size and install the system; our electricians run the dedicated circuit and verify panel capacity. One crew, one written price, permits pulled where required.

Sizing by Load Calculation

The right size comes from a Manual J load calculation: the space's square footage, insulation, windows, orientation, and Fort Lauderdale's design temperatures. Too big and the system short-cycles — cooling fast but never dehumidifying, leaving the space clammy. Too small and it runs constantly without catching up.

Rule-of-thumb sizing by square footage alone is how bad installations happen. We measure and calculate.

Ductwork Designed to Match

New equipment on bad ducts is a wasted investment. We design the duct layout for the space: proper trunk and branch sizing, sealed connections, and returns placed where the air actually needs to move. In Fort Lauderdale's hot attics, we insulate and seal every joint — leaky ducts in a 140-degree attic are air conditioning the roof.

Where ducts don't make sense — a detached garage, a small addition — a mini-split is often the cleaner answer, and we'll tell you when that's the case.

The Electrical Side

Every new system needs a dedicated circuit sized to its rating, and the panel needs the capacity to carry it. Our electricians run the circuit, set the disconnect, and verify the panel — all as part of the same installation, permitted and inspected.

If the panel is already full, we flag it during the quote — not on installation day — and price the panel upgrade alongside the system.

What Installation Day Looks Like

Equipment set, refrigerant lines run and pressure-tested, electrical connected, condensate drain routed, system charged and started. Then we verify: airflow room by room, temperature split across the coil, and every control working.

We walk you through the thermostat, the filter schedule, and what to watch for — then we clean up. The permit inspection follows, handled by us.

Common questions

How long does an installation take?

Most residential installations finish in one to two days, depending on the ductwork scope. You'll have the timeline in writing before we start.

Do I need new ductwork with a new system?

Not always — but we inspect it before quoting. If the existing ducts are sound, we use them. If they're undersized, leaky, or falling apart, we'll show you and price the fix.

What size system do I need?

Whatever the load calculation says — not what the neighbor has, not what was there before. We measure and calculate for your specific space.

Do you handle the permits?

Yes. New installations require permits and inspections in Broward County. We pull them and meet the inspector.
